Franz-Eugen Betz (28 October 1917 – 22 August 1942) was a highly decorated Feldwebel in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Franz-Eugen Betz was wounded on 22 August 1942 and died on the same day from his wounds.
